Project Overview
The 40 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Dahej, Bharuch is one of India’s most advanced industrial wastewater treatment facilities. Commissioned by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), it features a comprehensive eight-stage process designed to treat high-strength and complex industrial effluents generated by the Dahej Industrial Estate.
The treatment process includes:
- Preliminary treatment
- Ammonia stripping
- Physical treatment
- Advanced oxidation ditch with Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR)
- Advanced oxidation system
- Tertiary clariflocculation
- Filtration system
This integrated approach ensures compliance with stringent environmental standards while supporting water reuse and sustainable industrial operations.

The Challenge
The Dahej industrial cluster produces highly complex wastewater with significant variability in flow and contaminant loads. Designing a treatment process capable of addressing these challenges while ensuring stable performance required an innovative, multi-stage system.
The Solution
Enviro engineered an advanced eight-stage CETP, integrating oxidation ditch technology with BNR, advanced oxidation, and tertiary polishing systems. The inclusion of eductors for mixing and aeration further enhanced process efficiency and reliability, ensuring consistent effluent quality.
