Dr. Nimesh Vashi

Dr. Nimesh Vashi is a Civil Engineer with a master’s degree in environmental engineering and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Technology from UKA Tarsadia University, India.

A recognized leader in the water sector, he has dedicated more than five decades to advancing sustainable treatment technologies and climate-resilient infrastructure across India.

As the founder of Enviro Control Private Limited, Dr. Nimesh Vashi established the company with a mission to deliver world-class water and wastewater engineering solutions. Under his visionary leadership, Enviro Control has grown into one of India’s most respected water companies, serving municipalities, industries, and communities nationwide. Over the years, he has expanded the organisation’s capabilities across municipal and industrial treatment, membrane filtration, waste-to-energy systems, and digital optimisation.

Dr. Nimesh Vashi’s pioneering approach has enabled Enviro Control to deliver several of the world’s first and India’s first large-scale innovative projects, setting new benchmarks in sustainability and operational excellence. His commitment to innovation continues to shape the sector’s evolution and inspire the next generation of engineers.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Vashi remains deeply committed to social responsibility. He has led numerous initiatives to uplift his native village, focusing on long-term community development and environmental stewardship. His contributions to both industry and society have earned him multiple prestigious awards and widespread recognition.

Dr. Anand Vashi is a Civil Engineer with a Master of Science in Sanitary Engineering from IHE Delft, The Netherlands, and a Ph.D. in Anaerobic Sewage Pretreatment from South Gujarat University, India. A recognized leader in water and wastewater engineering, he has spent more than 25 years advancing sustainable treatment technologies and climate-resilient infrastructure.

As Executive Director of Enviro Control Pvt Ltd, he has helped shape one of India’s pioneering organisations in water and wastewater treatment and reuse. Over the past 46 years, the company has designed and executed more than 400 projects across the country.

Dr. Vashi also leads Enviro Control UK Ltd. as Chairman and Managing Director, driving innovation, circularity, and global technology transfer between India and the United Kingdom.

His technical expertise spans advanced anaerobic treatment, biological nutrient removal, municipal sewage reuse, and cutting-edge ceramic membrane systems for long-chain PFAS removal.

Based in London, Enviro Control UK Ltd (ECUK) is our international hub for innovation, strategy, and delivery. We design and deploy modular, containerized water and wastewater treatment systems – including solar-integrated desalination with AI-enabled remote operation – for clients across the UK and globally.

Our mission is to help communities and industries build water systems that are both climate-resilient and circular: treating wastewater as a resource, expanding safe reuse, and reducing long-term dependence on freshwater extraction.
