2-Stage Biological Treatment (Bio-Tower + Advanced Oxidation Ditch)
EPC Turnkey
40 MLD (Common Effluent Treatment)
Completed in 2019 for Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), this 40 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Saykha Industrial Estate treats mixed industrial wastewater from chemical and other units in the Bharuch region.
The advanced 2-stage biological system features a Bio-Tower for high-rate initial organic reduction followed by an Advanced Oxidation Ditch for extended aeration, nutrient removal, and final stabilization. Integrated with evaporation (0.5 MLD) for concentrate handling, it ensures compliant discharge, supports Saykha’s industrial expansion, and exemplifies efficient CETP design in Gujarat’s PCPIR ecosystem.
Core goals:
Key challenges:
Core process: First-stage Bio-Tower for high-rate attached-growth BOD/COD reduction; second-stage Advanced Oxidation Ditch (extended aeration) for suspended-growth polishing, nitrification/denitrification, and stable effluent.
Highlights:
This dual-stage approach delivers resilient, high-removal treatment for complex industrial mixes.
